    My Shameer S,Just 2 month back i buy a new Nissan Sunny car and i had observed some issues on Black smoke emitting from exhaust. It is due to a air to fuel ratio imbalance. This occurs when the diesel fuel system is delivering either too much fuel into the engine or there is not enough air.
    Below are some ideas of what is causing vehicle to emit black smoke:-
    * Faulty Diesel Injectors
    * Dirty Air Filter
    * Faulty Diesel Pump
    * Valves clogged within cylinder head due to EGR being faulty.
    * Intercooler or Turbo Charger faulty

    Please come back with solution of my above issue

      I have purchased Nissan Sunny diesel couple of months ago, I have done only 1600 Kms.
      I have noticed that exhaust throws black smoke, due to which right side rare end of the car has a black carbon coating. I need to wash the car daily. When I checked with authorized service agent. He simply said diesel is adulterated with kerosene or something.

      It is surprising that I have never ever faced this issue with other cars like Swift diesel.

    I am an owner of not 1 but 2 Nissan Micra cars. While the experience with the first buy (in Bangalore) was excellent, it has been the complete opposite with my purchase & after-sales support in Mumbai with the dealer Ichibaan Motors. I won’t even delve into the sales experience which was dismal, but I currently have a serious problem that is falling on deaf ears.
    I recently had a puncture, at which point I realized that the stepney had a cut. The car is barely 6 months old fitted with Bridgestone tyres. The warranty on the tyres was not accepted, at which point I asked for a spare tyre to buy. However, the tyre has not been available with any of the Bridgestone dealers in Mumbai. They of course have no obligation to help and have asked me to contact the Nissan service, which has been the most unhelpful. I have been following up on this for the last 5 days with no result. I am completely fed up with their nonchalance and am amazed at the sub standard level of service I am receiving. I can’t possibly run a car without tyres, can I?

    Hoping someone from the company will read this and come to my rescue.

    My Nissan Micra under warranty with registration no. DL6c-j-9780, is suddenly stopped on dated 18 june 2012, the current status is my car standing at RC Nissan delhi.
    Nobody give proper response. If Nissan company not give my car on time I requested to Nissan please provide me a stand by car Because 20 days for small thing is not a small time.
    i very understand that service of Nissan is very poor. I recommend to everybody please do not purchase any of nissan’s product Because for service they are big Zero.

    I have faced my worst experience of owning a Nissan Car and its customer care(so called) after the battery of the car conked off in 1yrs and 27 days. And i was asked to pay for the battery. I bought the car believing in the japanese company’s car known for the make and quality of the cars. Will not recommend another friend of mine going for Nissan car as they have compromised on quality for cars made in india. Just believe a critical component of a car going off in a years time what all will fail in the years to come only god knows just to add i got the bearings of the car changed just 4 months ago.     This has been going in loops with a painful journey to the customer due to nissan mechanic fault.
    I have attached the hand written note from Lakshmi Nissan sevice center which clearly explains the
    customer has rightly done the actions as advised by the toll free customer care ,
    but the faulty service mechanic has done the whole problem with the car engine by starting the car
    while in water.
    The nissan customer service is really poor and i regret buying a Micra.

    This is to bring to your kind attention that we M/s Shri Prabhakar Construction company, Bhopal bought Nissan’s – ‘X-Trail’ back in November 2011, from your authorized dealer CI Nissan, Pul Boghda, Bhopal. At that time we had high regards for the product and services of your company and based on that goodwill we bought this car. But, it is very disgusting that we are suffering for lack of services from your side basically because now your company doesn’t have any service center here in Bhopal and even in Indore (which we think is very shameful for an organization like Nissan).
    Following are few problems which need to be sorted out as soon as possible:
    1. Our car has travelled more than 30000 km and our service is due which is not being able to get because of unavailability of your authorized service center in Bhopal or even in Indore.
    2. There is a bad (black) smoke coming out of the car constantly.
    3. Bubbling and Juggling problem in front wheels.
    4. Parts are not available anywhere in town.
    5. Roof top Slider having problems.
    These and there are many other issues we are suffering from.
    Kindly consider this mail as a very serious problem and either provide us with our due services or else take away your car returning our whole purchased amount.

    Its once again the same old customer which has bought the Nissan Micra Diesel an year and half back and now repenting on my own decision that why i spended 6 lacs on such a worst machine. In just 36000 kms and span of 1.5 year the whole car is shaking like you are traveling in some old car of 90’s or worst than that. Till the date of purchase i had visited the service center either for one odd reason or other, they rectify one and the car starts giving problem with another and then again i visit them and they say sir we had already communicated this to our factory at Nissan and they are working on it and when that get recovered, it starts some more sounds. My car is now days from past 6 months facing a problem of a sound like “ttttrrrrrrr”, whenever i drive it in second or third gear and it seems like the voice is either from Excel or Gearbox is about to break, and same sound came when i take any turn to any of sides. When i visited Nissan Service center again they said, sir we had already communicated the same to Nissan when ever
    we will get the solution we will call u. This is not the single problem the person sitting at back use to hear various sound from car shockers rather than from car sound system.

    I wanted to ask Nissan People one thing that did i made any delay in making a payment for my car or did i ever asked for some unusual benefits. IF no then why i am facing this problem, that my friends and family members started making fun of the car the way it come across with various problem. kindly see if you people can help me with solving these various sounds from my vehicle.

    I own a Nissan Micra PETROL basic model reg No. MP09 CJ 5899 . I bought the vehicle from Asean nissan Indore in May 2011. I stay in Gwalior MP and the vehicle is also there. After one year of my purchase all the dealerships from MP i.e Indore and bhopal was shutdown. So i choose to go to my nearest dealership ATMARAM NISSAN in Agra UP for service. In October 2012 i found my RADIATOR FAN ASSEMBLY was found noisy and faulty.The car is under warranty . I showed it to the service center and they took a video evidence and send it for approval in nissan motor corp. and they told me it will take a month and a half to get the approval. I called them after 2 months and asked them whether the approval is done and they got the part or not , they told me yes the part is with them and asked me to come. FIRST thing is they dont find it their responsibility to call the customers and inform them . ( WORST CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP) . Then when i went to Agra( 150 KM from Gwalior) . they told me that the part is not yet with them as they got a non compatible part which is not fitting into my vehicle. I am very very disappointed from their service and they dont even know how to talk to customers. ( AFTER SELLING VEHICLE THEY FORGET THEIR CUSTOMERS). And at the same time they did service to my vehicle and after service i found AC FAN & TEMPRATURE switch was not working properly and they blammed it on me while i found them with no fault when i left my home and working till i reached service center. NOW they said the Radiator fan part will take 15 more days. i called them 3 days back and they Says no the part is not yet dispatched from the company. ITS BEEN ALMOST 4 MONTHS TO GET A SMALL PART AND IF SOMETHING WRONG HAPPENED TO MY VEHICLE WHO WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS. ITS THE WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I cant visit their service center daily as its been 300 km of a round trip. and they dont answer properly on phone too.

    Dear Sir,

    I am writing this letter with frustration and helplessness of my ill fate of making me choose a Nissan Micra car. From day one of date of purchase the car is facing major technical issues, some of which was cleared after lots of hassle. I am sure that the complaints of this sort are not going to be heard and it’s just going to the garbage can. But still to remove my frustration I am forced to point some issues to your notice.

    Initially when the car was purchased the back seat ride was pretty hard for which complaint was made and after 1 service the service centre said there is no issue with the car. I sent the same car to another work shop for check up and they confirmed that the shock-absorbers are not functioning hence the bumpy ride. This was informed to the Icchibaan service center and then they confirmed that it’s a problem and Shock absorbers needs to be changed, Initially only 1 was changed when the fault was with all of them. Later after much heated discussion they changed some and still the problem insists.
    This is the status of the service centre. Last service done on 4.02.2013 the complaints were clearly issued in writing to the service center, but the service center was more interested in billing than giving service to the customer. Sound from differential box has started coming much louder in 3rd and 4th gear, this issue was pointed from day one that is from 1st service time itself. The 2nd issue was water spray which should spray on glass is being sprayed on bonnet and still your service center can’t find anything wrong with it !!! Engine noise increased drastically informed but same reply. The heat seal from the bottom part was missing, and the service manager accuses that I have hit the car somewhere and that’s why the part has gone missing. Next service they charge me for fitting that part. I insisted on checking the part and it was still missing but bills raised, on enquiring the service executive states that Diesel cars does not have this heat seals, Then on what ground was the service manager was accusing me of hitting the car and loosing the part ? no reply. The car was sent for Paid service and the service centre even had the audacity to charge and hand me over and unwashed and dirty car, but charging me fully for the service. I had raised a scene over there and they then sprayed some water under the car and gave it to me. For every complaint we make your service centre has a standard reply everything is ok, all cars have this noise or problem !!! Is this your company motto, if there is a problem the car makers should rectify the problem and make the customer happy or they have to say that all car has fault so you just pay the company and drive with the fault ??? It is an absurd proposition.

    As mentioned at the start of the letter, I don’t have much expectation for a reply or better service from your end, cause if the service centre is doing such blatant violations it must be with your approval or some major lack in motivation.

    My nissan sunny diesel is having brake problem since i took delivery last year from the nissan raipur dealer. As per company guidelines the entire brake system which has four welding spots on its brake drums is to be replaced. the raipur dealer is not making the replacement under warranty on the grounds that the spare parts are not available. The front shock absorber are leaking since more than six months, they need replacement but the reply of the dealer is that there are no stocks.
    The company should look into the matter and ensure that all defective parts are replaced without delay.

    Subject: Sunny Diesel shut down due to battery Problem – Complaint Reference number: 2013042555709

    Dear Customer care,

    Please refer to above complaint reference number given to me by Suvil ( your customer care person) for my complaint related to service issues in handling the problem of Battery.

    Car got shut down yesterday (25th April) because of Battery problem. It is not even a year now , car has started giving such problems. This is not only surprising but also makes me feel that Nissan is supplying Faulty products, faulty components to customers.

    After pressurising Torrent Nissan Service , somehow the towing of car was arranged ( almost after 2 hrs from the first time intimated to Torrent Nissan Service). Needless to say that my job suffered & had to say sorry for minimum 3 meetings which had planned till afternoon.

    Car reached to Torrent nissan Service by 3.15 PM which was confirmed to me by service staff.
    I went to attend the procedure by 6 PM at their service station.
    Following is the summary of discussion i had with Mr. Yogesh Shridhar ( ASM Service, Torrent Nissan, Andheri East, Mumbai)
    1. He needs to follow the procedure to send the battery to Exide company.
    2. He would wait for standard procedure to complete.
    3. He would revert back on the feedback which would be given by Exide dealer.
    4. He would intimate me on the progress as soon as he hears from exide dealer.

    My questions to him were

    1. How much time can this procedure take? : His answer – He is not sure about it. Might be 4 days, a week or anything. He can not give commitment on this.
    2. How much time can it take to bring my car on road in running condition? : His answer – He would follow the procedure & would keep me updated. He can not give time frame by when car is back.
    3. What would be the procedure when same battery complaint occurs? His answer – He would follow the same procedure as he is following now.
    4. What precautions are you taking or will be taking that same complaint does not occur? His answer – answer that there is no clear answer to this question.

    Then, of course i was not satisfied with his comment ( not sure if any one in whole world would be satisfied with his answer), i asked the escalation level.

    Followed up with Torrent Nissan – No answer on what is happening, when the problem would be solved.
    Followed up with your customer care person, Suvil, same guy picked up call today as well. He has no idea to address the problem. No wonder, he is just sitting there to listen stories….

    Mail is being written to you with all the details, history & feedbacks.
    Resolution required:
    > I need my car up & running on as soon as possible basis. Need clear commitment by when car would be up.
    > If your procedure is taking more than 2 days then organise service battery ( temporary battery) to be installed till the time, original car battery is not replaced or repaired.
    > Need detailed report as to why such faulty battery was supplied with the car.
    > Need letter in writing with clear timeline on the point where if Battery has same fault once again, it should be repaired, replaced within maximum 2 working days.

    I am awaiting feedback on the my point above.

    If does not get feedback by tomorrow, then i would assume that this is not the right addressable forum where customer problem gets addressed. Therefore i would be left with last option to go to Consumer court to launch Complaint against NISSAN for Faulty parts, & against Torrent Nissan for service failures.

    1.Brake noise
    2.Black smoke emission
    3.A/c doesnt give a cooling effect even at 18degrees
    4.Mileage is ~13 to 14kms/ltr in city.
    Iam planning to return it to nissan and take a refund. Is this possible.

    I an Nitesh Arora from Chandigarh.
    I own a Nissan Sunny car diesel variant with registration no. CH 01 AN 4730 on the name of my wife.
    It’s been 10 days I have lodged a complaint that I am not getting spare parts for my Nissan Sunny car.
    It’s front bumper, front right light and rear left light got damaged in an accident on 23rd of July.
    I went to Hind Nissan showroom in Chandigarh and bhagat Nisaan in mohali.
    Bhagat dealers said we are not sure when we will get the spare parts so it’s better you search it in some other dealer.
    Hind Nissan said we also don’t have the spare part. You come to us on 29th and then we will confirm.
    I also called up on your toll free no. On 23rd only but nobody bothered to reply back.
    The position is this that my car is standing still since that day and I am not able to drive it.
    No assurance from anyone as in when I will get the parts replaced.
    Kindly take up the matter seriously.

    With reference our long discussions and conversation with Mr. Rana, I am sorry to say but we are totally unsatisfied with Nissan services.

    I sent the car to you Number MH02-WA-4323 Blue Nissan Teana for the problem which we were facing, which was that the steering which was hard on 1st May, 2013

    The car was diagnosed as leakage of oil from steering by your service station. After inspection of my car you sent us a long list of spares that were needed to repair the car. The list is enclosed as (Annexure 1).

    After repeated teleconversations with Mr. Sandeep, who was not responding to my messages your manager Mr. Rana spoke to me on June 3 and assured me that the car would be repaired. He then said that the same was not available with you, see letter dated Annexure 2. I was appalled and surprised that as the Authorized Service Center for Nissan you did not have the required
    spares for the car that you were selling and servicing!

    Having no choice in the matter we had no option but to wait till you procured the same. After waiting for almost a month you still had not received the spares. Upon enquiry with you, you now claimed that your warehouse had burnt down and that you did not have the spares to repair the car. (refer to Annexure 3)

    This only happened after we continuously reminded you that our car was stuck in your service centre. There was absolutely no communications from your side to keep us informed of the progress of the repairs of my car.

    I was now obliged to search and procure the spares by ourselves for this car from a foreign location with NO SUPPORT FROM YOU. (Annexure 4}.

    Eventually we managed to procure the same from Nissan in Dubai and after paying extensive costs for imports we gave the same to you. (Annexure 6).

    However our problems continued. In spite of receiving some of the spare support from us you were unable to repair my car.

    Finally after a period of almost 3 months (01.08.2013) we collected the car after paying an Rs. 97,923 for the spares in good faith that the car was repaired (Annexure 5).

    We sent out driver to collect the car but after a driving the same for a few minutes from your service station we noticed that the dashboard was sending all kinds of signals that the car was not properly repaired. Promptly the car was given back to your repair station for your review.

    I spoke to you and you informed me and that an engineer from Nissan was called to find the fault as your service engineers were unable to find it for over a week . Once again you did not have the skills to repair the car and it was lying in your workshop until (17.08.2013). At this point of time were sure that you did not have either the skills or ability to repair this vehicle. It had been three
    and a half months since we sent the car to you for a steering job!

    I finally took delivery of the car in an unserviceable condition completely devastated by the quality of the services provided by your company.

    Upon opening the bonnet we found that all the wires had been burnt and it looked like the car engine bay had been sprayed with a foam type of fire extinguisher (pictures are attached). I was shocked to learn that your service department had committed such an
    act and not even informed us.

    You have charged us Rs. 97,923 for spares paid vide cheque no 222408 (SBI) on 01.08.2013. You have not repaired the car but completely destroyed the vehicle and allegedly even burnt it You have not been able to find the fault in the car
    either. I have completely lost faith if the spares which you claim to have used and those supplied by me were actually used in the car or if they were even required. You have kept the car in your service centre from 01.05.2013 to 17.08.2013 and only paid lip service to me while not bothering to make my car serviceable.

    Under the circumstance I am a extremely dissatisfied customer. I intend to take this to Nissan and any other organization that will redress our problem at your cost, risk and consequences.

    I have purchased Nissan sunny ( XV Diesel )recently(30/09/2013). when i checked the spare wheel it is of a different size and different made. The original wheel is Bridgestone 185/65 R15. But the spare wheel is R14 and a different make(MRF) . When contacted the dealer, they say it is not necessary that the spare wheel should be of the same size. But In this blogs and their user manual says that the spare wheel is same size as that of the original wheels. Please let me know whether it is a mistake from the dealer or not. ?
    And the customer care team not respond my doubts.
    please clarify my points. I am facing lot issues and bad customer service, and i hate this car within a month

    BUT IN MY CASE LABOUR CHARGED BY RS. 910/-.
    PLZ SEND BACK MY 910/- AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.
    BECAUSE ITS AGAINST LAW.
    ACCORDING TO CO. REPUTATION ITS HEART ME BECAUSE I M DOING BLIND FAITH ON CO.
    SO PLZ DO THE NEEDFUL AND SEND MY EXTRA PID MONEY.(all bill copy enclosed)
